A combination approach to healing

Integrative Medicine The MedVet team of Integrative Medicine doctors is at the forefront of complementary veterinary medicine and alternative therapies, including pain relief, acupuncture and rehabilitation services.

When an integrative approach may improve your pet’s comfort and outcomes, we will prescribe well-studied and effective complementary therapies in conjunction with conventional treatments.

MedVet specialists will partner with the Integrative Medicine team to determine follow-up and at-home regimens to optimize your pet’s recovery.

While helpful for all kinds of conditions, we often recommend integrative medical therapies to patients:

  • Dealing with chronic medical conditions, such as inflammatory bowel disease, diabetes and feline bladder disorders
  • Recovering from orthopedic surgery
  • Requiring pain management for degenerative arthritis
  • Suffering from neurologic disease
  • Undergoing treatment for cancer
  • Geriatric wellness

Services

  • Acupuncture for pain management, appetite stimulation, enhanced circulation and improved immune response
  • Healing Touch for Animals® to promote stress reduction, a healthy immune system and enhancement of the pet’s innate ability to heal
  • Laser therapy for pain relief, accelerated tissue repair and inflammation reduction
  • Nutritional supplements that can safely be added to conventional medical therapies
  • Rehabilitation for reconditioning
