Mathew C. LovettMathew C. Lovett, DVM, is a Resident in Neurology and Neurosurgery at MedVet Columbus and has been on staff since 2009.

Dr. Lovett’s specific interests include novel treatment of inflammatory disorders of the central nervous system, minimally invasive intracranial surgery, and exploring new modalities for the treatment of emergent intracranial disorders including status epilepticus and head trauma.

He is currently studying for a Masters of Science at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. His current research includes a comprehensive comparison of spinal fluid analyses performed over the past 20 years in dogs, the effects of ceftriaxone on cerebrospinal fluid glutamate levels in epileptic dogs and a case report of the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) characteristics of a fourth ventricular cholesterol granuloma in a dog.
