Kathy Wright, DVM, DACVIM

Kathy Wright Kathy Wright, DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology and Internal Medicine), is a Cardiologist at MedVet Cincinnati and has been on staff since 2010.

Dr. Wright is best known for her study of the mechanisms of and treatment for arrhythmias in companion animals. She was the first to adapt radiofrequency catheter ablation to companion animals. She is also one of a handful of veterinary specialists in the United States and Canada to be board certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiology.

Dr. Wright is a contributing author for several veterinary textbooks and a reviewer for the Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine, the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Journal of Veterinary Cardiology, and the Australian Veterinary Journal. Her work has been widely published.

Dr. Wright lectures nationally on veterinary arrhythmias, cardiac electrophysiology and catheter ablation, and congenital heart disease.

She’s been awarded several grants for her clinical research in veterinary cardiology and comparative companion animal-pediatric congenital heart disease.
