Darcy Adin, DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology), is a Cardiologist at MedVet Columbus and has been on staff since 2009.
Together with the other cardiologists at MedVet, Dr. Adin provides state of the art care for dogs and cats with heart disease and compassionate care for the people that love them.
Dr. Adin has published articles advancing the knowledge of cardiac troponins, feline cardiomyopathy, and emergency heart failure treatments that are now in use at veterinary hospitals worldwide. She has written chapters for Clinical Veterinary Advisor: Dogs and Cats, as well as Current Veterinary Therapy XIV. She is also a reviewer for the Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Journal of Veterinary Cardiology, Journal of Veterinary Science, and Research in Veterinary Science.
Dr. Adin lectures internationally and has presented her work at the World Congress in Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery, as well as at meetings of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.
She is currently involved in MedVet’s Feline Holter study, headed by Dr. Bethany Smouther. This study evaluates 24-hour Holter studies in cats with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, before and after treatment with atenolol, and is funded by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Cardiology Resident Grant.
