"You and the staff in the surgery department and ICU were fabulous! I have alerted many people in the Dayton area about your facility."
- Kathryn
Christa L. Corbett, DVM, MS, DACVO joined the Ophthalmology department at MedVet Columbus in 2010.
Dr. Corbett’s specific areas of interest include exotic ophthalmology, glaucoma, and adnexal reconstructive surgeries. Her work, “Evaluation of efficacy and biocompatibility of indirect intraocular pressure monitoring using a telemetric scleral sensor,” was one of the first of its kind. This new method of measuring intraocular pressure telemetrically, or from a distance, allows for minimal to no restraint, and may allow for monitoring of intraocular pressures at home–a concept that has not yet been accomplished even in human ophthalmology.
Dr. Corbett has presented at multiple conferences for the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmology. Her research, “Lip commissure to eyelid transposition for repair of feline eyelid agenesis,” has been published in Veterinary Ophthalmology.
