Adam T. Watson, DVM, DACVR, has been a Radiologist for MedVet
since 2010.
Dr. Watson completed his diagnostic imaging residency at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to his residency, he completed a radiology internship at MedVet, which was the step that solidified his decision to specialize in radiology.
Dr. Watson’s very enthusiastic approach to the field and his desire for continuous improvement in services, make him a natural addition to this very busy, widely-consulted practice. He enjoys the diversity, the fast pace, and the broad exposure to so many different specialty departments that working at MedVet provides as well as interaction with the referring veterinary community on referral imaging cases.
Dr. Watson has a strong interest in cross-sectional imaging with special emphasis on neuroradiology, CT of primary bronchopulmonary disease, and advanced CT techniques such as CT angiography in the diagnosis of portosystemic shunts.
His clinical research, “Safety and Correlation of Test Results of Combined Ultrasound-Guided Fine-Needle Aspiration and Needle Core Biopsy of the Canine Spleen,” has been published internationally in Veterinary Radiology & Ultrasound.
Dr. Watson has presented his work at the American College of Veterinary Radiology conference and has lectured at the MidWest Veterinary Conference Diagnostic Imaging Wetlab.
